Held annually, the CMS JROTC Awards ceremony culminates cadet activities for the year. Awards recognize Outstanding Individual Performance by cadets from the twenty-one CMS JROTC programs. Medals are presented for excellence in Academics, Citizenship, and Leadership.
In addition, all CMS JROTC Units achieving Military Service-directed Inspection/Accreditation excellence are recognized.
Scholarships are distributed; college and commission Acceptance is announced.
Finally, Superintendent's Cup Trophies are presented in the form of Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels of achievement. The Superintendent's Cup is a Standards-Based program focusing on Competition, Performance, and Character.
For the 6:30 PM ceremony, 1200 cadets assemble with other cadets attending in support of those receiving awards; all supported by parents, friends, and community stakeholders/leaders.
*You are cordially invited to attend the pre-event reception beginning at 5:30 PM. This VIP [veterans in person] BITES & BEVS event welcomes area Veterans, CMS Principals, and Community Stakeholders to enjoy light eats/beverages before making their way to the designated VIP Viewing Section for the ceremony.
