Carolinas Freedom Foundation regrets to inform you that the DRIVE-IN Breakfast at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, November 9th is CANCELLED.
This does not affect either:
the Salute to Veterans Parade in Uptown Charlotte on Saturday, November 6th or
the Freedom Breakfast at Carmel Country Club on Thursday, November 11th.
The Tuesday November 9th Salute to Veterans Drive-In/Cruise-In Breakfast was poised to be a fantastic event because we were honored to have the only living WWII CMOH recipient, 98-year-old Woody Williams, as our keynote! But Woody took a fall and needs some time to recover.
We know you share in our gratitude that Woody is going to be okay!
We will continue to work with the team at the Woody Williams Foundation to find a time in the near future to engage with Woody.
In the meantime, we wish Woody Godspeed in his recovery!

This year's Salute to Veterans -- Drive-In/Cruise-In Breakfast at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord will be a spectacular celebration where more than 500 veterans, first-responders, sponsors, and guests from the surrounding NC/SC community will safely gather at this LIVE EVENT to honor those who served our country in the Armed Forces.
As one of three events to usher in Veterans Day, attendees will DRIVE-IN utilizing their personal vehicles to maintain social distance while maximizing attendance and celebration capacity. The event will showcase live components such as Color Guard and National Anthem, a fly-over followed by an On-Track Parade*, a military welcome, and a racing invocation. WWII CMOH recipient Woody Williams will deliver the keynote on his foundation's initiatives for Gold Star Families. Attendees will enjoy a premium boxed breakfast while viewing a special presentation on the big screen.
