Gold Star Remembrance

Support Blue Star Mothers of Charlotte NC15 along with VFW Post 9488 and Auxillary 9488
in honoring Gold Star Mothers, together we remember and pay tribute to our Fallen Heroes.
Gold Star Mother's Day is observed on the last Sunday in September and is intended to recognize and honor those mothers who lost a son or daughter in the service of the U.S. Armed Forces. In 2022, we observe this Day of Remembrance on Sunday, September 25th.

Music Entertainment (begins ~3 PM) with an Early Bird Dinner (3:45 PM) is followed by a presentation on the History of Gold Star (delivered by a selected Gold Star Mother), then Guest Speaker Gold Star Mother Elaine Johnson will conduct a Ceremony to Honor Our Gold Star Mothers and Our Fallen Heroes.
Complimentary event for Gold Star Families. Contributions requested of all others [age six to adult = $5/person, $10/couple], [no charge for kids five and under] through an Honor System of Donation Boxes, in which to put your contribution, will be placed throughout the event space.
