Cadet Achievement Awards
Held annually at Charlotte's BOplex, the CMS JROTC Awards ceremony culminates cadet activities for the year. Awards recognize Outstanding Individual Performance by cadets from the twenty CMS JROTC programs. Medals are presented for excellence in Academics, Citizenship, and Leadership.
In addition, all CMS JROTC Units achieving Military Service-directed Inspection/Accreditation excellence are recognized.
Scholarships are distributed; college and commission Acceptance is announced.
Finally, Superintendent's Cup Trophies are presented in the form of Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels of achievement. The Superintendent's Cup is a Standards-Based program focusing on Competition, Performance, and Character.
For the 6:30PM ceremony, 1200 cadets assemble on the Bojangles' Coliseum floor with another 800 cadets attending in support of those receiving awards; all supported by parents, friends, and community stakeholders/leaders.
*You are cordially invited to attend the pre-event reception beginning at 5:30PM. This VIP [veterans in person] BITES & BEVS event welcomes area Veterans, CMS Principals, and Community Stakeholders to enjoy light eats/beverages before making their way to the designated VIP Viewing Section for the ceremony.
